My Philosophy
I believe that every child is unique and should be nurtured and cherished for who they are. My small class size allows me to get to know each child and nourish their individual needs and interests. Preschool age children need a lot of individual attention and guidance to build and strengthen their self esteem.
My teaching style is predominately directive and traditional in nature. Our day is very structured and all activities are performed together as a group. Each child is guided, according to their individual needs, to ensure success with every project and activity.
Routine is critical for preschoolers. It is very important for them to know what to expect. Their emotional stability relies on routine. I follow the same daily schedule consistantly. The amount of time focused on each activity varies from day to day, due to interests and attention levels, but the basic schedule of events remain the same.
Preschool is a place where your child should feel safe, loved and happy. I hope to make preschool a FUN learning environment that your child looks forward to coming to each day!
